Abstract
This paper summarizes the ideas of the authors related to the game as a strategy for logical mathematical reasoning based on problems in Curricular Block 3 of Statistics and Probability, developed during the pre-professional practices in the 8th A of the Educational Unit “República del Ecuador” In 2020. Raises as a problem How to contribute to mathematical logical reasoning in Block 3 of Statistics and Probability in the 8th A of EGB in the República del Ecuador Educational Unit? The general objective is to propose game activities as a strategy for mathematical logical reasoning based on problems in Block 3 of Statistics and Probabilities of 8th A of the Educational Unit "República del Ecuador". The scope of the work includes the phases of diagnosis, problematization, theoretical and methodological foundation until arriving at the proposal. It takes into consideration the contributions of previous investigations such as Minerva (2002); Aristizabal, Colorado and Gutiérrez (2016) that emphasize the facilities offered by the game to learn to solve problems through reasoning and communicating knowledge, the appropriation of mathematical concepts through the formation of loops of knowledge in a higher degree of development of rewarding and creative way. The methodology used starts from assuming the Humanist research paradigm, the qualitative approach and as a method the single, observational and descriptive case study to which different techniques and instruments are integrated that allow to carry out the analysis of the causes of the investigated problem, describe the experience , discover the relationship between the categories and indicators, as well as link the results obtained with pedagogical, didactic, mathematical and statistical knowledge. Didactically conceived game activities are provided that facilitate the development of mathematical logical reasoning to solve problems associated with the development of skills of the content of Statistics and Probability. The main conclusion is that the game activity as a strategy promotes learning in the student to reason, explore, investigate solutions in a fun way and solve problems with complex content applied to life.
