Abstract
The following research takes the school project as a pedagogical tool to integrate ancestral knowledge
and practices of hand embroidery, typical of the San Francisco community of the Chibuleo people The project
was carried out at the upper elementary level of the Intercultural Millennium Educational Unit Bilingual
Chibuleo Guardian of the Language The research is of a documentary and field type, with a qualitative
approach. Using the techniques of participant observation, documentary analysis, interview and the
exploration guide, the information and pertinent data were collected for the development of the school
project and the didactic guide In addition, for the design of the School Project it is necessary to make use of
the Project-Based Learning (PBL) methodology where the work is focused from a critical and
interdisciplinary perspective, therefore, the actions are oriented in the field of curricular and methodological
management.
Among the main contributions of this work are e highlights the use of endogenous knowledge within
the curricular management of upper elementary school, where the student is the main actor in their learning
and the teacher guides the process to the development of the school project. Likewise, the importance of
community participation is denoted education for the realization of each phase of the project, in which the
strengths and weaknesses of the experience are identified in order to develop guidelines for future
interdisciplinary projects, and from the new virtual modality through the Sch0ology tool Finally, hand
embroidery treated from the area of School Projects becomes a pedagogical tool that contributes to the
practice of educational processes with intercultural relevance.
