Abstract
The subject of this degree work is the external evaluation of the teaching-learning component of the Management Performance standards in the Educational Unit "February 26", whose objective is to evaluate the level of compliance of the institution, through the use of a matrix of external evaluation, to provide updated information that allows the authority to make decisions based on the recommendations of the evaluation report that becomes the result of the investigation. The main theoretical contributions assumed in the study correspond to educational quality, external evaluation, quality standards and leadership, raised by Cabrera and Palma (2022), Bonilla (2014), Rico (2016), Pérez (2007), Aguerrondo (2013), Alcaraz (2017), Carvajal (2019). The research has a qualitative approach, with the case study methodology; the semi-structured interview applied to two auditors who participated in the last audit carried out in the Educational Unit "February 26" served to collect the information, as well as the documentary review and the validated external evaluation matrix, before its application, by two expert auditors, corresponding to the beginning of the implementation of the proposal. The main result of the investigation when carrying out the analysis, triangulation and interpretation of the information determined important findings, such as: non-compliance with the recommendations derived from the external evaluation due to lack of planning by the manager and poor follow-up by the District to the plan of improvement. The study had 4 phases: theoretical, field work, projection and analytical. As a main conclusion, it was possible to verify the level of compliance with the Management Performance standards, in the Pedagogical Management dimension, of the teaching-learning component.
