Abstract
This Curricular Integration Work (TIC) focuses on the content approach to reading comprehension from the Language and Literature subject in the context of the 4th year of EGB, which seeks for students to improve text comprehension. For this reason, we have established ourselves as a general objective to strengthen reading comprehension from the subject of Language and Literature in the 4th year of EGB. Our main conceptual theoretical axes are the didactics of reading, reading comprehension as a fundamental axis in academic development, and the didactic sequence for reading comprehension. The research methodology is based on the qualitative approach and is supported by the action-research method. In the course of the investigation, various data collection techniques and instruments were applied, which allowed us to know the need presented by the students and the perspective that the teacher had on the object of study, which is reading comprehension. In order to respond to our objective, we propose the design, implementation, and evaluation of a didactic sequence that contributes to strengthening the reading comparison, thus for students to have good academic performance and achieve the desired knowledge. This research not only seeks to solve a need but also contributes to making teachers aware of how important reading comprehension is in the academic field and thus encourages their students to strengthen the said skill.
