Abstract

This research is about the correct application of strategies to achieve an adequate reading comprehension, is focused on the area of language and literature for students of the Sixth Year of Basic Education of the Educational Unit "José Acosta Vallejo" Within the teaching - learning process, a correct reading comprehension, strengthens the process of apprehension of knowledge whose results optimize the learning in the different subjects. In the development of the research, it allowed to show that the students have very little attachment and interest in reading, these aspects allowed me to strengthen the strategies to achieve a correct reading comprehension. In the process we find, diversity of techniques and strategies of reading comprehension to be applied, in the students that allow to optimize the teaching - learning process. This project will have an effective and efficient application through the teaching contribution, to its students at all levels of the educational institution.
