Abstract
The present innovation project was proposed on the basis of the experience of preprofessional practices during the course of the Basic Education Career at the National University of Education. It was considered the attention to 7. ° grade of General Basic Education "A" of the Educational Unit Zoila Aurora Palacios, specifically to a total of 24 students who presented difficulties with respect to the development of their reading comprehension. As a general objective, it was proposed that students improve their reading comprehension skills through the design, implementation and evaluation of the Remedial Teaching. This plan was based on the benefits offered by the Network Learning Communities and strategies for reading comprehension at the three levels: literal, inferential and critical valuation. In order to test the effectiveness it was used as a model the Didactic Engineering, whose phases include: preliminary analysis, conception and a priori analysis, experimentation and evaluation and ex post analysis. The results obtained, in generally were positive, because the students involved achieved a significant advance in their skills. Ultimately, the research made it possible to recognize the importance and relevance of carrying out an organized teaching management accordingly with the difficulties of the learners in order to overcome them. The study also consented to evaluate the significant participation of parents and/or legal representatives in the integral training of the students.
