Abstract
Learning from successful educational systems constitutes a pressing strength to improve the educational quality of others. In Ecuador, despite the relentless management to improve the education system, there are still fundamental problems that are affecting their school. Therefore, this research project aims to establish a proposal to move towards ideal schools in Ecuador. In this sense, a qualitative approach methodology was carried out with the Action Research (IA) method, using techniques such as documentary analysis and semi-structured interviews. For this, in the first place, documentary analysis of international education systems such as Finland, South Korea, Shanghai, and other regional ones such as Chile, Uruguay and Brazil was carried out. On the other hand, the educational perspective of teachers, students and managers of educational institutions of Azogues, Chuquipata and Cuenca was collected through semi-structured interviews. Also, educational actors such as the rector of the National University of Education of Ecuador, Juan Samaniego and others were interviewed. In this way, four analysis chapters and a fifth one are defined in which general and concrete lessons learned from the previous chapters are established. In addition, the discussion of guiding elements is proposed to move towards ideal schools. Therefore, this research constitutes a very important bibliographic material to be reviewed by Ecuadorian schools that seek to move towards educational quality through an approach towards the management of ideal schools.
