Abstract
The operations' learning with polynomials is one of the difficulties present in the students who are in the different grades of Basic Superior Education and of Baccalaureate. The present innovation project called "ABNp Method for teaching the three basic operations with polynomials in ninth grade students of EGB during the 2019 - 2020 school year in the Luis Cordero Educational School" contributes to the learning of this subject in the area of Mathematics. The ABN method proposed by the teacher and Doctor in Philosophy and Educational Sciences Jaime Martínez, was adapted for learning the addition, subtraction and multiplication of polynomials through the manipulation of concrete didactic materials and graphic tables. The qualitative methodology used in the research responds to the interpretative paradigm; the scope is descriptive because it specifies the properties and characteristics of the phenomenon studied. The techniques used were observation and survey using different instruments such as field diaries, teacher and student surveys and summative assessment of learners and surveys applied to teachers and students to whom a summative evaluation was also applied. The ABNp teaching for polynomials obtained positive results with respect to the multiplication of polynomials because it exceeded traditional education by 18% and the general average was raised by 11% in the three operations.
