Abstract
The development of levels of textual comprehension is a current problem in students who are in the middle level of General Basic Education. The following research project entitled "System of methodological actions for the development of textual comprehension in the middle level of Basic General Education" aims to propose a system of methodological actions that favors the development of a conception and teaching performance in relation to the Teaching-learning of the textual comprehension of the Educational Unit "Abelardo Tamariz Crespo", located in the city of Cuenca. This system of actions focuses on three dimensions of the 2012 Quality Standards that are: Administrative Management, Pedagogical Management and Coexistence Management and School Participation, which is based on different theoretical references such as García, Durango, the Ministry of Education of Ecuador, etc. The qualitative-quantitative approach, related to the socio-critical paradigm, has been used for research. Theoretical and empirical methods have been used, using observation techniques, teacher interviews, documentary analysis of the Institutional Educational Project (PEI) and the planning of the mid-level Teaching Unit and diagnostic tests, with their respective information collection instruments. The research has resulted in a deficiency in the conception and teaching performance, which affects the teaching-learning process of these students.
