Abstract
Diversity is a characteristic of human beings in their way of thinking, feeling and acting; but there are also characteristics that unite them. Thus, the assessment of diversity within the classroom is an enriching principle of the teaching-learning process, since each classroom is a universe that considers each student with their particularities when learning, however, it is noteworthy that Although they all share the same space and the same teacher, each one assimilates at their own pace and way. This research aims to design a methodological strategy to promote learning styles in the area of Language and Literature in students of the higher basic general education of the Bilingual Intercultural Community Educational Unit Quilloac in the period 2020. It follows a quantitative approach, a type of non-experimental, cross-sectional and descriptive design; the instruments used were the Honey-Alonso Learning Styles Questionnaire and the documentary review of the files of the 44 students, which constitute the sample with which we worked in this study, statistically calculated from the 117 that make up the population. From the results obtained, the strategy was designed and validated by specialists. Reflective, followed by pragmatic, were identified within the predominant learning styles. The elaborated proposal includes objectives, cognitive strategies, execution time, techniques, resources, metacognitive strategies and the methodology to develop each action, taking into account the four learning styles.
