Abstract
This document presents information on music as a strategy for teaching Lusophone adjectives for learners of Portuguese as a second language. This study was carried out in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil. The sample is integrated by 80 Spanish-speaking learners, students of Portuguese as a second language, aged between 6 and 17 years old. The research by its nature is exploratory and its objective was to identify the functionality of music as a pedagogical tool in the acquisition of a second language. As an instrument for data collection was used an estimation scale. The activities were developed during the first quarter of 2020, with the purpose of identifying the relevance of music as a didactic strategy in the teaching and learning process. The results obtained reaffirm the utilitarian character of artistic tools in language teaching, at the same time that confirm the effectiveness of music in the domain of lusophone adjectives.
