Gestión en el aula: estrategia didáctica para potenciar el aprendizaje de la multiplicación en el asignatura de matemáticas en el sexto año de Educación General Básica de la Unidad Educativa República del Ecuador

Abstract

This research work demonstrates the existing need to improve the deficiencies of the sixth year students of parallel “A” of the “Unidad Educativa República del Ecuador” school in Cuenca city, associated with multiplication learning which is a difficult topic to understand for boys and girls. For this project, a research is carried out starting from the problem situation, since it was found that there is a low academic performance of the students. Furthermore, it was evidenced that there is not a positive answer from the students at the time of exercising the multiplication tables which is related to the poor understanding of the properties and related issues of this basic operation. The objective of this research is to design a didactic strategy to enhance the learning of multiplication in the sixth year of Basic General Education. To achieve this, a proposal is made with the aim to support the process, in such a way that it is possible to reinforce the selected contents and thus contribute to their academic and personal development. The investigative work was oriented from a socio-critical paradigm with a qualitative approach, through the inquiry of the following methods: theoretical, historical-logical and empirical. Moreover, different techniques and instruments were applied in order to allow the collection of relevant data, this supports the understanding of the research problem and the object of study. In the last section, the conclusions of this degree project are presented. Here the general objective and the specific objectives set are tackled. Furthermore, recommendations that emerged in the development of the research are enunciated.
