Abstract
The purpose of this research is to show how the different playful strategies planned in an intervention program can be implemented within the school environment to contribute to the development of gross and fine motor skills in students with disabilities at the high school level of the “Unidad de Educación Especializada Manuela Espejo”. The strategies to be applied are related to motor circuits, as a work process to develop gross motor skills; while for fine motor skills, art therapy and the TEACCH method, as a support by parents from home. In this research, a methodology with a socio-critical paradigm and qualitative approach was used, applying the case study as a method, through participant observation, interviews, a record for parents and a documentary review as techniques for the collecting of information, which will serve to identify the characteristics of each of the students and determine the best teaching method to be used. This research was innovative, due to the recreational activities proposed, which respond to the needs and the rhythm of learning of each student, proposing a new way of teaching through the methodology of the game, presenting new ways and strategies to reach students. Therefore, a web page was created where parents can consult all the activities proposed in the intervention proposal and consult the authors if necessary.
