Abstract
The objective of this research was to design an active didactic strategy of Kichwa teaching-learning through a digital Karaoke of children's songs with cultural relevance, for pupils of the second year of the Bilingual Intercultural Educational Unit "Suscal" (UECIB “Suscal”), located in Pachón’s community of the Suscal city. Those songs were addressing the Kichwa Curriculum contents of the Unit 16, Circle 3. This study theme started three years ago from Pre-professional training experiences of the Intercultural Bilingual Education Career, when we worked on the realization of a repertoire of children's songs called Takishpa yachakushun for teaching the Kichwa languish. It arose because in different bilingual intercultural schools there was observed the lack of active pedagogical strategies to promote and strengthen Kichwa teaching. In this didactic proposal, three children's songs were composed: Pampapi ruraykuna ("Field activities"), Yachakushun ("Let's learn") and Wiwakuna ("The animals"). The last song served as a model, considering its musical characteristics and performance level: in different experiences it was evidenced that Wiwacuna song has been highly appreciated by pupils and has helped them on learning Kichwa. In this study, the participants were 17 pupils and the 2nd grade teacher of UECIB "Suscal". The time spent on fieldwork was five weeks. The methodological approach was qualitative inspired on the Educational Action Research, which gives an important role to pupils and teachers in all research process. Despite there was not possible to apply and evaluate this didactic proposal because the COVID 19 pandemic emergency, nevertheless based on partial application results we may conclude that using a digital Karaoke of children's songs with cultural relevance may probably strengthen the learning of the Kichwa languish on 2nd grade pupils of UECIB "Suscal" in a positive, dynamic and fun way.
