Abstract
The purpose of this work is to describe the process of choral training with children and young people, as part of the development of their identity within the social and educational context. Singing in a choir allows to integrate, motivate, and create habits of discipline, values, and respect, as well as develops skills within the rhythmic and auditory musical competencies on children and young people at the Conservatory. This is why, how to work in the formation of a choir with children and young people will be indicated, based on the experience of 35 years of choral activity of the author. Important aspects such as: voice management, vocal emission, body work and the repertoire to be used with each choir will be analyzed, as a contribution to teachers who are immersed in the creation of choirs in schools and centers education of regular education.
