Abstract
Currently, education in the classroom is directed to the use of innovative strategies that contribute significantly to a quality educational model, which is why this research work presents a proposal and implementation of a technological strategy through the use of RStudio software, with the main objective of learning and teaching statistics in the second year of high school. The research work is supported by several bibliographical references, focused on the socio-critical paradigm, qualitative and quantitative research, supported by the results of the application of a pretest and posttest to the students. The applied results show that the students constructed a significant learning in terms of measures of central tendency and measures of dispersion. At the same time, they show their motivation and interest in learning statistics through the use of RStudio software. The teacher highlights the importance of innovating in education with the use of technological strategies in the classroom, since this way a great contribution is achieved in the teaching and learning process. Therefore, the use of RStudio programming software as a technological tool for the teaching and learning of statistics in the second year of high school motivates and awakens the students' interest in learning statistics, the knowledge acquired is oriented to the curricular contents. Therefore, the use of ICT as a technological strategy in education is transcendental since it contributes to achieve a solid and quality learning.
