Abstract
This thesis seeks to contribute to the training of teachers in the area of Natural Sciences in the management of the virtual environment "Moodle" of the Luis Cordero Educational Unit, due to the lack of teacher training, a problem that was found during the pre-professional practices. The use of this tool is important, since it is currently a teaching tool for teachers due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Thus, a proposal was made to generate training for teachers of Natural Sciences on the manipulation of "Moodle", in order to use the resources and activities in the subjects of physics, chemistry and biology. To carry out this work, the interpretative paradigm was used since it allows analyzing the actions of the teachers belonging to the sample. Field research was used to obtain data in real time and space, with pre-experimental research. The mixed approach instruments used were: interview, survey, participant observation, pretest and posttest. The results were: in relation to the benefits, communication between teachers and students was improved, school follow-up, reduction of paper, among others; the limitations of using the virtual environment are the time and space used by teachers to search for and place information. The teachers' average level of knowledge of Moodle in the pretest was 1.7. After applying the proposal in the post-test, an average of 6.7 was obtained. Thus, it was concluded that permanent training is effective in the area of Natural Sciences, since it is possible to share continuously with students about subjects.
