Abstract
The main objective of this project is to analyze the effects of the implementation of a technological tool in which GeoGebra was used to improve the learning of balancing chemical equations of oxidation-reduction in students of the second year of high school of Science of the Herlinda Toral Educational Unit of the city of Cuenca. To achieve this research several steps were followed starting from the realization of a theoretical systematization, to make a diagnosis of the learning process of students and thus achieve adapt GeoGebra as a technological tool in order to implement it in the area of chemistry and finally evaluate the effects of the implementation of GeoGebra as a technological tool for learning chemical equations of oxide-reduction in students of second baccalaureate of science. The action research methodology was used for this study and the type of research used is field research, since the information is collected directly from the participants, as the problem occurs in a natural way, since it allows us to observe and collect different data that are necessary for the research. Among the most relevant results, we mention the use of a technological tool in an area that has not been used, which managed to influence in obtaining a better autonomous learning and a significant learning.
