Abstract
The purpose of this research was to contribute to the emotional development in the teachinglearning process of children from 4 to 5 years of age at the "Alonso Torres" Early Education Center by means of an activity booklet. Since, during the pre-professional practices it was visualized that this aspect was limited in certain virtual encounters. Therefore, to theoretically base the study, Bravo (2017), who emphasizes the concept of emotional development and, in turn, Goleman (1996) and Bisquerra (2000), provide a classification of emotions, which were an essential part to define the systematization of categories, were taken as references. Similarly, the qualitative approach was used for this study, with a socio-critical paradigm and a methodology focused on Action Research, in order to change the reality of the subjects of study. At the same time, the respective categorization was established, which guided the diagnosis of the emotional development of the infants, by means of observation and interview techniques. In this sense, with the information obtained, the general qualitative data analysis model was carried out and the results were the lack of activities focused on strengthening emotional development, the importance of implementing didactic resources and peer interaction. For this reason, a proposal called "The world of emotions" was developed, which was applied for five to six weeks and then evaluated. From this intervention, it was deduced that the activities carried out awakened the interest and curiosity of the children and contributed to improve intra and interpersonal relationships. In addition, the resources used were accessible and appropriate to the age of the children, all this allowed a strengthening of the emotional development of the infants in the teaching-learning process.
