Abstract
The objective of this research is to propose a didactic guide that contributes to the de-velopment of multiplication skills based on the strategy of Game-Based Learning (GBL) for the students of the fifth year of EGB parallel "A", of the Private Educational Unit "Corel". During the pre-professional practices, the problem of the little use of didactic strategies that do not contribute to the development of multiplication skills was identified, hindering the learning of students in the resolution of exercises and problems. Among the main authors supporting this research is (Arterio, 2009) who points out that a didactic guide should contain different resources that facilitate understanding and learning of students, and (Remón, 2018) who explains that the game is a means of learning, so through the application of the GBL stra-tegy students can learn while playing, creating meaningful knowledge. It is developed through a descriptive type of research, of sociocritical paradigm type and qualitative ap-proach, where the data collection techniques are mainly the unstructured interview and the written test, supported by instruments of a guide of open questions about the detected pro-blem and a diagnostic test to identify the level of development of the multiplication skill, being the population defined by the students and the teacher of the fifth year of EGB parallel "A" of the Unidad Educativa Particular "Corel". The result of the project is that the strategies applied in the subject of Mathematics in the fifth year of EGB, have not allowed to achieve the effective development of the skill of multiplication, making it necessary to propose a di-dactic guide based on the GBL strategy with different resources and materials that awaken interest in learning and facilitate the resolution of exercises and problems, which responded to the objectives of the research and was validated by three professionals, who stated that it was correctly elaborated and its content is suitable for students.
