Abstract
The present work entitled, "Body expression through scenic art in children 4-5 years old in the Educational Unit "Francisco Febres Cordero, Cuenca-Ecuador", has as general objective, to develop a didactic guide based on scenic art for the strengthening of body expression, because according to what was observed in the pre-professional practices the infants of the sub-level 2 "A" perform few activities related to this area. The theoretical references used in the research contributed significantly to our study, with key and concise concepts about performing arts and body expression, as well as several strategies that help the child's learning, based on body expression and performing arts. Action research was applied as a method based on the qualitative approach and the interpretative paradigm, using field diaries, participant observation, checklist, interview and focus group as techniques and instruments. The main result of this research was the design and application of the didactic guide for infants from 4 to 5 years old to strengthen their corporal expression through scenic art, so that they can develop corporeally transmitting their emotions, feelings and sentiments. One of the main conclusions was that corporal expression should be strengthened from an early age, since it will help children to know their body, and it is also important that they relate to the performing arts, because through them the child can show their emotions and feelings through movements.
