Abstract
This research exposes the active methodologies specifically the "problem-based learning" as part of a didactic strategy that has the purpose of solving the participation of the sixth grade EGB students of the Ángel Polivio Chávez educational unit. For the development of the research, the qualitative approach was used with the IAP, with which we proceeded to diagnose learning difficulties in the area of Natural Sciences. The participant observation technique and various instruments were used: field diaries, observation guides, surveys and interviews. This led to the construction of a didactic strategy based on PBL, with the aim of improving participation and therefore academic performance in Natural Sciences. Being a qualitative research, the socio- critical paradigm was selected, since it focuses on the needs of individuals and the context that
surrounds them. Regarding the instruments, surveys and interviews, it was carried out in the first stage of the investigation and at the end in order to obtain specific data on how the didactic and What is expected with the research is to show PBL as a strategy that gives the student a leading role and makes the classes spaces for dynamic and entertaining exchanges of dynamic and entertaining ideas.
