Abstract
Emotional skills are the capacities that are obtained throughout evolutionary development and involve how one self-regulates, dynamizes and understands feelings and emotions. Therefore, in this research, the general objective was focused on proposing a learning plan with activities in which innovative techniques such as mindfulness are used in the development of emotional skills. For this, the strengthening of emotional skills in authors such as Goleman, Mayer, Salovey, Hernández and Sánchez were theoretically supported; the same ones that point out that in order to develop Emotional Intelligence IE, skills such as self-awareness, empathy and teamwork must be part of the integral development of the human being. The methodology used was based on the qualitative approach, socio-critical paradigm and the action research method (IA). Techniques and instruments were used to obtain information in the diagnostic phase such as participant observation, teacher interview, checklist, field diaries. The results, regarding the diagnostic phase, indicate that emotional skills are present in the infants evaluated, although with different levels of development. According to this, the educational intervention "Freckles and colors of peace" is designed and applied, which was subjected to an evaluation by experts, who qualified it satisfactorily in the criteria of operability, methodology, receptivity and training. Finally, we were able to conclude that the acquisition of emotional skills through mindfulness allows infants to welcome and understand each of their emotions and relate better and generate empathy with everyone in their environment.
