Abstract
Adaptive behaviors play a fundamental role in the life of every person, in the case of people with autism spectrum disorder in many cases they are affected, due to characteristics of ASD, especially attention and behavior problems. In the present work, which aims to propose an educational program through the use of teaching material based on the TEACCH method for the improvement of adaptive behaviors in students with ASD; It aims to improve the quality of life, especially autonomy in basic activities of daily living, since adaptive behaviors cover four main aspects: practical skills, social skills, conceptual skills and physical motor skills. The proposal of this educational program has a scope not only in the school context, but can also be applied by the family context of the students.
