Abstract
The need to understand what EPJA implies, supports the inquiry about the way in which curricular adaptation and contextualization in EPJA is conceived and implemented, with the intention of considering methods more appropriate to the context, which make progressive improvement possible. of the out-of-school population, which, being characterized under the concept of "school backwardness", requires the generation of dialogic relationships and empathy that support educational communication between teachers and students, for the generation of a qualification that at a personal level considers the subjectivity of the student. student and professional level improve their skills. In this sense, the present investigation proposes a reflection and interpretation on the processes of curricular adaptation of the study plan, in the context of implementation of the project Strengthening, Access, Permanence with emphasis on Inclusion and Qualification for Life (FAPT), of Superior Basic General Education and Unified General high school for young people and adults in the "Gabriela Mistral Educational Unit No. 1" of the Catamayo Canton, in the period January - July 2021. The proposal is developed through a methodology of qualitative approach of descriptive and exploratory type; the sample studied involved teachers and expert staff of Higher Basic General Education and Unified General high school.
