Abstract
Phonological consciousness is understood as the ability and ability to understand oral language and be able to correctly use sounds or phonemes. The objective is to propose a system of activities based on stories that contribute to the development of phonological awareness in the field of expression and understanding of language in early infants 2B of the UEM Francisco Febres Cordero. For this, theoretical references on the development of phonological consciousness were systematized, as well as the levels and importance of phonological consciousness. Similarly, emphasis is placed on strategies for the development of phonological consciousness in initial education, and the field of Understanding and Expression of Language with the skills assigned to develop between the age of 4-5 is also considered. At the methodological level, the socio-critical paradigm was applied, with a qualitative approach, with a case study design. Techniques such as sociometrics, participant observation and interview were used; using the tools: test, observation guide and question guide. As results, it was obtained that most infants comply with syllabic consciousness, but some difficulties are evident when segmenting syllables. Most infants do not comply with the intrasyllabic consciousness, of which some needs to identify and recognize sounds are evidenced, and most infants do not comply with the phonemic consciousness, since they have difficulty identifying the phoneme of a word. An educational intervention entitled “Your Tale is My Tale” was proposed, of which there were eight activities. It was based on the use of tales as a natural form for the reinforcement of phonological consciousness skills. This intervention was subjected to a process of validation by piloting, where it was obtained that most of the activities met the requirements by which they were evaluated. So you can say that if it is applied, you will get good results with the goal that was created.
