Abstract
This research paper studies the development of oral language in children of elementary sublevel 2, group of 4 to 5 years parallel "B" of the "Manuel J. Calle" school. The general objective is to contribute to the development of oral language in the syntactic and phonological components with help of a booklet of activities based on Montessori pedagogy for children from sublevel 2 parallel "B". One of the specific objectives is: to theoretically base the development and stages of oral language in children from 4 to 5 years old, which responds to the research topic. Therefore, several sources were inquired about the importance of developing language oral in Initial Education with authors such as (Bonilla, 2016), (Sanabria, 2016), (Heredia, 2020), (Vickers, 2021), among others. To achieve the stated objective, in this research study, it was proposed to employ a booklet of activities based on Montessori pedagogy to help the development of oral language in the syntactic and phonological components in the aforementioned age range. A qualitative approach is used with the use of quantitative data, a socio-critical paradigm, a case study methodology and applied research; In addition, the techniques used to collect the information are interviews, participant observation, the group interview, and the Plon – R test. One of the most relevant results that the present investigation produced is that infants need to strengthen some indicators such as: naming images that contain phonemes and reproduce sentences of up to 10 words. As a conclusion of the work, it can be said that after carrying out the piloting of the intervention proposal, it is determined that if it contributes to the development of oral language in the syntactic and phonological components of the children of the initial sublevel 2, parallel "B” of the “U.E Manuel J. Calle” since the activities proposed within the proposal help infants to reinforce phonology and strengthen the oropharyngeal muscles that are responsible for speech.
