Abstract
This project addresses topics of interest in the educational field because contents are presented that motivate the use of new strategies when teaching a class, using alternative and augmentative communication systems (SAAC) as the main resource, because AT the Manuela Espejo Specialty School, it was possible to identify a student with cerebral palsy with deficiencies in the development of their communication skills. In the life of all people, and in their learning processes, communication has always been seen as a fundamental act between two or more beings, regardless of the type of language used, it is also an invaluable tool to exchange messages to understand people. people and the knowledge they transmit, that is why the present investigation has as general objective "to stimulate the development of communication skills in a student with infantile cerebral palsy (PCI) of the ninth year of the Manuela Espejo Specialized Educational Unit" The research has a hermeneutic-qualitative methodological approach, develops bibliographic review techniques; a survey of teachers and students, through the application of a questionnaire; the exploration of the state of situation of the students and the description of the limitations of fine motor skills in each one of them. The study is complemented by the proposal of a system of activities that reflect strategies to strengthen the pressing activities, digital development and graphic activities of each of the students. The researchers have as a solution to the aforementioned problem, they seek to design a digital board using the PECS method, which is a unique alternative / augmentative communication system in order for the student to acquire knowledge through the exchange of images, thus achieving learning. significant and applicable in their communication processes in daily life.
