Abstract
This research was born from the identification of a problem in the context of the pre-professional practices, period IS-2023, involving the students of the eighth year of Basic Education parallel "A" of the Educational Unit "Javier Loyola". The objective was to develop a didactic process that stimulates the development of the cognitive and artistic skills of the students of 8th year of General Basic Education through the interdisciplinary relationship between different artistic languages (literature, drawing, music) using the methodological strategy of Project Based Learning (PBL). The methodology applied was action research, which responds to the qualitative approach, allowing an analytical understanding of the experiences lived by these students. Techniques such as participant observation, self-evaluation and photographic record were used, as well as instruments such as: field diary, checklist, rubric and photographs, in order to obtain relevant data from the research process. The subjects who participated in this process were eighteen, ten males and eight females between the ages of eleven and twelve. As a result, it was evidenced that interdisciplinarity through PBL allowed students to integrate the artistic languages: music, literature and plastic arts in a single artistic project, experimenting and developing their cognitive and artistic skills. Applying interdisciplinarity through PBL in Cultural and Artistic Education helped students to promote creativity, critical thinking and collaboration in the classroom, while learning the contents of the subject, being a recommendable methodology to be applied.
