Abstract
The present research work aims to contribute to the learning of systems of linear equations with two unknowns, through the use of GeoGebra software in tenth grade students from the Bilingual Intercultural Community Education Center Lizardo García. The methodology has a qualitative approach, with exploratory and descriptive scope. Instruments such as observation guides, anecdotal records and checklists were applied before and after the educational intervention. The results show that students had previous knowledge about equation systems, but faced difficulties in applying algebraic methods and lacked complete mastery of the subject. The introduction of GeoGebra as a pedagogical tool helped improve the level of knowledge and procedural performance of students compared to the initial assessment. The proposal consists of an educational intervention structured in four phases: teacher training in GeoGebra, lesson design integrating GeoGebra, classroom implementation, and evaluation. The interactive activities in GeoGebra promoted more active, meaningful teaching tailored to different learning styles. The initial results demonstrate the potential of GeoGebra to innovate the teaching of mathematical equations, improving conceptual understanding and academic performance. Further research is required to delve deeper into this approach.
