Abstract
The influence of information and communication technologies (ICT) in learning has been the subject of multiple researches, however, there are few studies that usually recognize the values of technology as a means to enhance student learning in order to meet the Specific Educational Support Needs of students, from the perspective of diversity and inclusion. Digital tools play a crucial role in improving educational inclusion in English language teaching. They provide personalized experiences and allow students to learn at their individual pace. These tools are especially beneficial for students with inclusive SEN, as they facilitate their access to and participation in English language learning with inclusive activities. The present research, which followed the qualitative paradigm in its development, and which by its nature is descriptive and explanatory, is a tangible approach on how the improvement of English language skills of a group of students is achieved through the use of digital tools such as videos, games and interactive software, thus responding to its intention to propose an intervention based on a system of ICT-assisted activities to enhance student learning in the subject of English that contributes to the satisfaction of SEN and their inclusion. The study focuses on students of the Unidad Educativa Leopoldo Lucero, specifically the students of 1BGU parallel "A", who lack mastery of the essential contents of the English subject, self-learning skills and motivation to learn, among other things, due to a variety of factors, including the use of inadequate resources in the teaching-learning process and weak teacher training in ICT. To address these challenges, the research suggests an ICT-based intervention program aimed at reinforcing English language knowledge, promoting effective self-learning, enhancing motivation, and emphasizing the significance of English in diverse professional settings. The results of a theoretical and preliminary evaluation of the program gave reasons of how effective is the program designed to improve the learning of the English language in a specific group of the Leopoldo Lucero Educational Unit located in Ecuador. With the use of ICT (Information and Communication Technologies).
