Abstract
This research work deals with Literacy in the subject of Language and Literature in the fourth grade of basic general education. The importance of addressing this issue with greater relevance in the area of Language and Literature is highlighted, as well as in various educational contexts inside and outside institutions. In addition, the use of recreational activities and concrete material is mentioned in order to implement a workshop called “Reading is dreaming”, in which didactic resources were used for teaching and learning phonemes, syllables and words. Through this application, key points and continuous improvements in the development of student learning are evident. In this sense, it is worth emphasizing that continuous and dynamic teaching processes must be established to monitor Literacy, relating to the active participation of families, teachers and members of the educational community. That is why the strategies used by the teacher are mentioned, the influence of families on the students' learning process and mainly how the role of the teacher adapts to the teaching context with the use of different support resources. The results of the workshop carried out during the development of the research called “Reading is dreaming” are presented, which seeks to teach Literacy with various activities to generate interest in students.
