Abstract
This research addresses the issue of the importance of interpersonal relationships in the framework of social skills in a girl with intellectual disabilities and how to enhance social skills. This is acase study with a qualitative approach, the social skills and interpersonal relationships in people with intellectual disabilities were investigated. The main objective was to develop a program proposal aimed at developing these social skills in this group of students. To achieve this, it focuses on a studentwith intellectual disabilities and an analysis of social interactions is carried out. Based on the problems found in the San Juan de Jerusalem Educational Unit, an intervention program was proposed specifically designed to address the needs and challenges identified in the study. This program focuses on improving communication, empathy, conflict resolution and social skills.
