Abstract
The objective of this study is to propose a guide to inclusive teaching resources to improve educational practices in students with visual disabilities. This study is based on the principles of inclusive education, which highlight the importance of adapting the curriculum and pedagogical strategies to the individual needs of each student, especially those with disabilities. The central objective of this work is to develop a guide that facilitates the implementation of adapted teaching resources, in order to improve educational practices in the care of students with visual disabilities. To achieve this, a methodology was used that combined different data collection tools, stories such as classroom observations, interviews with teachers and students, and a pedagogical test that evaluated the student's ability to interact with their environment. The present study adopts a qualitative approach based on a single case study, focused on a 14-year-old student with low vision at the "Gabriela Mistral" Basic General Educational Unit in Cuenca. The main findings of this study show that students with low vision have difficulties in their educational participation, since they required approaching the materials to interact with them. Their ability to identify colors and recognize faces was limited, which is why we conclude with the proposal of an inclusive educational resource guide.
