Abstract
The self-concept is defined in the way that the human being looks at himself, distinguishing in him a series of characteristics that determines him to value himself positively or negatively. It develops during each stage of the individual's growth, and it is in childhood where it is important to plant a correct self-concept of oneself. This work aims to develop the self-concept of students, through knowledge of their cultural identity, ensuring that each is valued by feeling identified within an ethnic group, deepening in the dress, customs, native languages and important Ecuadorian characters, each ethnic group. It is expected that with a positive development of their self-concept, improve coexistence and respect among peers, sowing mutual appreciation and solidarity in them, with the help and collaboration of the parents of the students.
