Abstract
The present final work of Master, aims to solve the problems detected as is the low academic performance of the students of second year of baccalaureate, also the need of involvement of the parents in the education their children. For which the didactic unit was developed to directly address the communication, the participation of the parents and their impact on the academic performance. The main objective was to raise awareness and make parents aware of the importance of communication and participation, in order to generate interest that will help the academic achievement. In addition, this didactic unit will serve as an instrument as a useful determinant support for the practice of tutoring and the tutor should make use of the instrument. In results, a 33% increase in notes was verified at the end of the school year. Finally, final reflections were made in relation to the core subjects of the Master's degree
