Abstract
Read to understand the written language, to communicate and express myself better orally" was the proposal implemented in order to obtain the title of master's degree in secondary education specializing in language and literature. Designed in a didactic sequence with a structure that develops, the description of the context where it is run, the presentation of the unit thematically, design of activities of teaching and learning and formative assessments, implementation of the teaching unit, assessment of the implementation and teaching unit in general; with the aim of developing thinking skills and independent learning, understanding content and communicative intention in written texts. As a result of the application, students improved their ability to understand, interact and use the various types of texts to resolve situations of learning, information and communication. In conclusion the theories and practices acquired during the entire process of the masters were very satisfactory and fruitful.
