Abstract
The didactic proposal, The contemporary Latin American story. Representation of the story Sorpresa en Navidad, as an innovation didactics for the development of reflexive, creative and playful literacy skills in the 10th grad EGB students of the Manuela Espejo School o Basic Education, aims to adapt a tale in a theatrical performance as a strategy to develop the skill of text production with purpose of encouraging the taste, delight and recreation of literature. In the didactic sequence, the collaborative word and inclusion of students with special educational needs (SEN), encouraging the participation and construction of knowledge. In this way, the difficulties in individual reading and writing activities are observed and good results are obtained from the group work, acting and illustration of the tale.
