Abstract
The main objective of this paper is "Analyze the way in which students solve exercises applying trigonometric ratios through the implementation of sequential activities and from the results obtained to promote a meaningful and lasting learning", in order to achieve that the student is the main protagonist and constructor of his knowledge; class sessions were planned where the participation and protagonism of the students was paramount to consolidate their own learning. We used tools of the environment, as well as tourist places in our country, making them notice that mathematics is present in all our environment. Achieving that students develop logical and critical thinking in solving problems and especially learn mathematics. This is a challenge that Ecuadorian education has and we must continue analyzing, reflecting and applying new didactic proposals, in order to ensure that students are formed in an integral manner and are an important contribution for the development of the country in the future
