Abstract

The presented work deals with the implementation and experimentation of a didactic unit with the theme characters that make and made history in Cayambe, elaborated and applied in the Ninth year of Basic General Education of the Fissional Educational Unit "Mariana de Jesús", in the that relevant information is collected through the investigation of certain actions developed by people in the sector, some of them who still live and attest to their actions and / or those of others recognized and admired for their work. The objective of this unit is to search for information that contributes to highlighting the identity of Cayambeña and the interculturality practiced in that locality, through the use of different strategies and methodologies such as interviewing certain local characters. The results of this work are evident in the demonstration of interest in knowing, investigating, analyzing and issuing critical judgments that favor the generation of revelatory learning.
