Rescate de la identidad cultural de la Cultura Kayambi

Abstract

In this didactic unit we reference to all the characteristics of the Kayambi culture such as: geographical, economic situation, cultural characteristics, indigenous leaders, sociopolitical organization to rescue this culture opposite of the globalization, through studying its cultural roots and thus future generations keep them alive with pride. The Kayambi culture is located in the northern part of the province of Pichincha and south of the province of Imbabura, its main economic activity at present is the agricultural, floricultural, livestock and artisanal activity, keeps alive its cultural practices through the inti raymi that is the gratitude to Mother Earth for her harvests, the legacy left by her indigenous leaders such as: Tránsito Amaguña, Dolores Cacuango and Jesús Gualavisí, they have been recognized in equal economic, social and political rights, that today we have political representations in the cantonal government of the political party Pachacutik
