Abstract
The purpose of this proposal was to apply different individual and group strategies that improve the significant learning of mathematical skills. One of the problems that concern the educational community is the low school performance in the basic areas at all levels and especially in two areas: Mathematics and Language and Communication. One of the ways to raise the academic results in these subjects and especially in the area of Mathematics is the application of Emotional Intelligence activities, for which the present work deals with an experience in which it is observed that emotions have a positive influence on the academic performance which gives this possibility with proven probabilities of school success. At the end of the work it was possible to demonstrate that emotional intelligence positively influences the improvement of school performance and can be applied to all areas of knowledge.
