Abstract
In the present work, the implementation of the didactic unit was carried out in the educational unit of the Cochasquí millennium, as a consequence of the needs observed in the institution which are: the lack of identity in the students, the devaluation of the Cayambe culture, the same that were carried out through, the valuation of the customs and traditions of this culture. The results achieved were good because students were familiarized with the culture, allowing to form universal students who tolerate the different forms of expression of the human being in the world starting from their country, forming values such as solidarity and respect, value to indigenous leaders improving their security as members of this culture. All this was carried out through the interaction between teacher, student, town in which we are all part of this teaching-learning process.
