Abstract
This article presents an overview of some of the musical and artistic products of the Music Production career at Escuela de Artes Sonoras (Sound Arts School) of Universidad de las Artes. In these projects the notions of identity, ancestry, and postmodernity converge through artistic proposals. The main objective has been to investigate pedagogical, creational, and research methodological processes for the field of music production, applied to inter / transdisciplinary degree projects. The processes of artistic and cultural assimilation of some Ecuadorian popular music and its transformation, at an artistic level, into new proposals are exposed. The methodology was defined from the compilation of a documentary corpus with which a hermeneutical exercise was carried out. It reflects on the processes of heuristics, ecdotics, creation and production of the students in their final works. As a preliminary result, the inter / transdisciplinary and intercultural character of the creations of the new musical producers is evidenced and that in the short term make up a continuum of identity within contemporary creation in Ecuador.
