Abstract
The present work of curricular integration focuses on the analysis of school education, its functions and the potential relationship of the subject of Social Studies in the construction of an ethical attitude. The sharing of different authors on the concept of ethics is in the formation of a character that guides people in the process of making decisions making use of reason and the praxis of their freedom, taking into account at the same time that these They must be able to generate positive effects not only in their lives, but also in the lives of others. Based on this research interest, a review of the concept of ethics is made, and in particular, ethics as an educational dimension. Gert Biesta's proposal is analyzed with special attention to the qualification, socialization and subjectivation functions of education, which are used as categories for the analysis of the Social Studies book of the sixth level of Basic General Education in Ecuador. Through a content analysis, aspects were found that suggest that the content of the book provides opportunities to generate spaces for reflection that could lead to an ethical position on the part of the students.
