Abstract
This research is about the creative writing of texts from the reading of classic stories with students of the Third "A" of Basic General Education of the Millennium Educational Unit "Sayausí" school period 2020 - 2021. For this, the main theoretical references that provided definitions about creative writing and reading stories as an educational resource. In addition, the production of creative texts was established as a general objective once the proposal that allowed to specify the scope of this research had been diagnosed, substantiated and developed. This work was developed under a socio-critical paradigm, with a qualitative methodology. The method used was research-action, the data collection techniques were participant observation and semi-structured interviews with the teacher. Likewise, among the information collection instruments are the field diaries and the interview script that consisted of open questions that made it possible to collect data of interest for the research. Regarding the proposal, a workshop called “Escritiva” was developed which generated positive results and showed that all students are capable of improving their creative writing by producing texts. Some students are easier than others when writing, but with greater motivation generated by teachers can improve in this regard. Finally, it is considered that, if openness is provided, awakens the imagination and implements necessary techniques, students will be able to capture their feelings, emotions and experiences in meaningful creative texts.
