Abstract
This research work is oriented to the analysis of the implementation of the game with the support of didactic material in the 4th year of General Basic Education of the Luis Cordero Educational Unit of the city of Azogues for the development and reinforcement of the problem of multiplication problems of Unit 4 in the Algebra and Functions block. This research arises from the participant observation made during pre-professional practices where it was evident that the teacher did not use methodological strategies. For this research, we work under the socio-critical approach with a qualitative methodology using its different techniques and instruments. From the methodology, it was possible to demonstrate the improvement in the academic performance of the students, since an average of 8.74 was obtained in the classroom, which means that the students reach the required learning (AAR). Therefore, it could be said that the use of the game in the classroom is important when teaching math topics, since it allows students to pay more attention and concentration, which favors the development of their skills and abilities.
