Abstract
The purpose of this work is the use of Amazonian popular music as a didactic strategy for the revitalization of the Kichwa and Shuar languages in the fifth grade at the UECIB "Amauta Ñanpi". Starting from the documentation of Amazonian popular music for the development of the necessary linguistic processes; to revalue the cultural and linguistic identity, where the design and evaluation of didactic strategies was carried out, through a mutual learning guide in order to seek a linguistic revitalization, In turn, the problem that was evidenced in the classroom context of the fifth grade of the present UECIB, was the deficit of linguistic strategies in the Kichwa and Shuar languages, due to the fact that the teacher did not have didactic material according to the teaching of these two languages, therefore, she did not know what was the appropriate way to develop the language. learning process towards their students, therefore, the communicative skills of the ancestral language were at a low level of teaching-learning, since these linguistic processes are necessary, in addition to being required by the intercultural bilingual education model. This research was carried out with the collaboration of the teacher and the students of the fifth grade, as main actors for the development of the didactic strategies through the musical documentation that was raised in this project, the same one that was developed through the face-to-face modality for clear and precise data collection, with a qualitative approach, where interviews, discussions, guides, field diaries and evaluations of the didactic implementation were carried out.
