Abstract
The research topic focuses on the disruptive behaviors of students with Intellectual Disabilities. Through pre-professional practices, certain behaviors affecting interpersonal relationships were identified, both in the school and family environments. Additionally, a lack of training was observed in the parents, who lack the knowledge and adequate preparation to manage these disruptive behaviors and collaborate coherently with teachers in their control. The general objective is to propose a system of family education workshops that contribute to addressing disruptive behaviors in students with Intellectual Disabilities at the "Manuela Espejo" Specialized Educational Unit. To theoretically substantiate the study problem, an exhaustive bibliographic review was conducted, highlighting key concepts such as intellectual disability, disruptive behaviors, parenting styles, and the relationship between teacher and family. From a methodological point of view, the interpretative paradigm with a qualitative approach is adopted. Multiple case study with its different steps is used, and various techniques and instruments are employed to collect relevant information for the research. Based on the empirical data obtained and the analyses conducted, a proposal called "System of family education workshops" is developed to improve disruptive behaviors in students with Intellectual Disabilities at the "Manuela Espejo" Specialized Educational Unit. The proposal has been positively evaluated by specialists, considering it relevant and adequate to contribute to the solution of the problem.
