Abstract
In this presentation, a systematization exercise on feminism transversalization in teaching, research, and academic management —that professor Natalia Marcos has been developing at Universidad de las Artes (Arts, University, UArtes for its Spanish acronym), from 2017 to the present— will be carried out. Since its creation, in 2014, many have been the advances in this innovative educational project. These respond, in part, to the historical impulse of feminist scholars and women’s movements efforts who put the spotlight on the permeability of the patriarchal-capitalist-colonial domain within the educational and cultural field at Ecuador. In this framework, the pedagogical and transdisciplinary research-creation processes carried out in the subjects Politics and Culture in Latin America; Nature, public space and language; and Political Economy, that belong to the Transversal Department of the UArtes, will be analyzed. This department articulates contents for subjects that study the struggles and demands of the feminist movement of the global South. In addition, it will present some proposals that UArtes has been carrying out, from research groups, and university policies related to the construction and application of regulations and policies on gender equality and sexual diversities.
